Sheila CardowI have been offering a private counselling service since 2000. My qualifications include a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire and a further Diploma in Working with Adult Survivors of Childhood Abuse from the University of Middlesex. In addition I continue to update my knowledge with regular attendance at specialist training venues in line with the BACP requirement for continiung profesional development. I am currently studying for a postgraduate certificate in Spiritual Dimensions in Therapy.

In addition, I have extensive experience of working with addictive behaviour groups whilst working in local voluntary addictions agencies.

I see clients with a wide range of life difficulties. My approach to the work is Person-centred.

In addition to counselling clients I offer clinical supervision to student and qualified counsellors. I also travel extensively in the UK delivering training workshops in counselling and health and social care.

I am a full member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the British Association for the Person-Centered Approach (BAPCA).

As a full member of the BACP I work within their Ethical Framework and hold full public liability insurance.
