Here you will find help for many difficulties you, or someone you know, may be facing. Whatever the problem feel free to talk to me in complete confidentiality. The subjects you will find under 'Common Difficulties' are not exhaustive, so even if the exact subject you'd like to discuss is not here please call to arrange an initial appointment.

Counselling offers a safe place where you can discuss problems and issues which are affecting your life. You may have relationship problems, stresses, anxieties, addictions, or unresolved difficulties from your past. Either way, you can talk to me and I can offer you a professional listening ear and we can explore new ways of looking at your life.

Typically sessions take take place once a week and last for 1 hour. More frequent sessions can be arranged if required. However, if more appropriate, a fixed number of meetings can be agreed, or longer term open-ended therapy can be offered.

Sessions are offered in Little Melton which is approximately 3 miles west of the centre of Norwich, Just off the A47.  My room is on the ground floor and parking is available.

I have been offering a private counselling service since 2000. My qualifications include a Post-graduate Diploma in Counselling from the University of Hertfordshire and a further Diploma in Working with Adult Survivors of Childhood Abuse from the University of Middlesex. In addition I continue to update my knowledge with regular attendance at specialist training venues in line with the BACP requirement for continiung profesional development. I am currently studying for a postgraduate certificate in Spiritual Dimensions in Therapy.

In addition, I have extensive experience of working with addictive behaviour groups whilst working in local voluntary addictions agencies.

I see clients with a wide range of life difficulties. My approach to the work is Person-centred.

In addition to counselling clients I offer clinical supervision to student and qualified counsellors.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and the British Association for the Person-Centered Approach (BAPCA).

AI work with BACP Ethical Framework and hold full public liability insurance.
